Several years, ok maybe a decade ago, I bought a 12v Porsche generator. It is the same dia. a 6v unit but puts out 12v and worked well in a 40hp engine compartment to hide the 12v upgrade. Now, I want to use this same gen in my ragtop car going together but the end of the armature that the fan goes on is damaged. What thread size is this, anyone know? Also, I have lost the voltage regulator, any idea what part # I should replace it with? Just thought it would look cool, small gen and a 010 dist combo. Might even use a stock fuel pump Wink

I think the thread is 12mm x 1.5

The old Bosch number for the volt reg is 30007, but I think it is NLA. I think guys are using the 30019 (0 190 350 068) reg from 12V Beetle.

Funny you would ask...........I will be using MY 010, some dude gave it to me, get this, FREE! Who would do something like that Grin

Thanks for the info, I'll hunt down the die to repair the threads and order up a voltage reg to complete the deal.
