That's fine for you family members, but pity the customer/kid (me) who sometimes questioned the "gospel according to Gene".
A 10 minute dissertation (ass chewing) soon followed, after which I would cut a check and promise myself not to repeat that mistake.  Cheesy

God I miss that!  And I hope I never lose those memories.

Hey!  Anyone remember Genes birthday party with the Tiger and the lap dancer?  Cheesy

Doug, my comments were meant to express my respect for your dad. I, as a punk kid would ask stupid questions and Gene would take the time to explain to me
how I was wrong and why. If he got excited in the process, I deserved it, then as now I treasure the experience. Gene has always been a role model for me,
something I reserve for few people. In my opinion he probably forgot more about hot VW's than most of us will ever know.

If my post was vague or open to misinterpretation that would be my fault, for which I apologize. I will try to find the happy medium between short hand
and boring monologues from now on.

Now back to the birthday party! (50th?) There were at least a hundred people in attendance, I can't be the only person who remembers that day  Grin

DB,
I unloaded the freezer yesterday and climbed inside for 1.5 hours ...

Sure enough, reread this thread and everything was crystal clear!

GOT IT! Pretty rare parental actions, but they were the "RIGHT CALL". You guys do amazing things with minds wide open to what's possible, even if it's NOT.
