hotel accomodation thursday night before scc

hi there any 1 got any tips on some good / value hotels near the airport for the thursday night before scc 2010 ,

we are flying up on that day and tenting the rest of the time but just need the 1 night

I did a quick search and Comfort Hotel RunWay (745 kroner for 2 person room on the 19th) seems to be one of the cheaper options in the airport area.

But it is on the "wrong" side of the airport and if you need a taxi to get to the SCC area, you might be better off using the official SCC hotel. From SCCevent.com:

We recommend the Quality Airport Hotel Gardermoen, which is closest to the track.
Tell them you are here for the SCC and you will get a special deal!

The prices for the weekend(pr. night) are as follows:
  Single room: 695NOK / 85€
  Double room: 895NOK / 105€
  Double room w/one extra bed: 1095NOK / 135€

Don't tell anyone I told you this  , but if you are bringing a tent anyway, you could probably get away with camping right outside the SCC area aswell

Please be advised that the "SCC" prices are only valid during the weekend.
If you want to camp on the grounds from thursday I'm sure we can work something out.  Otherwise try hotels.com, search for Gardermoen.

I`ll be camping there from thursday morning, so no problem to stay at the site.
The gate are closed moste of the time until it officially opens, so call me at +4790928833 and I`ll let you in

You need to push the number for the group bookings. I have reserved 10 rooms lately without any problems at all.

Call them again and tell them that the booking code is "SCC". If they have no idea what you are talking about, ask to talk to the Revenue Manager, Ann-Kristin Austrheim. I made the deal with her personally. There were over 30 rooms booked like this the last time I checked.
