I think the Fittipaldi car used a pair of 1500's, mated front to rear. How I don't know, but I suspect with a toothed sprocket on the end of each crank, wrapped with a double row chain to allow deflection between the cranks. Just a guess  Wink

Seems to me the exhaust port layout would favor starting with a type 4 engine.
