Thanks guys! Yes today I'm 50. About 12 years ago my buddy Ray said " your not going to be driving a cal-look bug at 50 are you?" Well yes I am and proud of it. I plan on doing a ton of racing this year. I'm racing my Black 67 bug in DRKC at Drag Day. My B/MC car should be done for May Bug O Rama. July is European Bug-In which I hope to be racing at. I'm driving on two teams for the 24 Hours of Lemons (google that!) road racing. In August I'll be driving my record holding Bonneville car. I hope to have the R&R Machine drag bug ready for Sept Bug O Rama. Also add in some road racing in my Spec Miata. For my Birthday party my daughter pulled out my old trophies from the basement and decorated the house with them she found 50! I liked the bracket A winner from BOR VIII. This should be a banner year!

This is the invite that my wife made:

Hey Sarge,Well if Jim would quit playing drag at night (and I dont mean racing) my my motor would be done and it wouldnt be in his garage being used as a wheel chock for some low life to steal.
I might need to have some one a bit more qualified to build my motor.
Do you have CedorUsa's phone number Shocked

Thanks guys for all the birthday wishes. I just got news today that plans have changed for Drag Day. Since ovals get in free, Ray Schubert wants me to bring my black 56. He will put his Pepco supercharger on the 36er to see what it will do in the 1/8th. It should be a gas.

That sounds great!
Larry (0r Uncle Jim for that matter), do you know if Ray has any of the overdriven bottom pulleys for a Pepco, like we were talking about at DKP?  I would love to pressurize my hamster a little more!  Will he be down for the event too?

Shall we race?  What a gas that would be.

Hope to see you there.

Dave, Ray had some pulleys made but I don't want to blow apart my 36er. Yes Ray will be there with me and yes we should race!

How can I reach him to get one?  I don't think I'm getting much boost out of the current set up.

I look forward to drag day.  Even if I can't race it, I have hired a hot shoe to take my place........
