l'm converting my discs and drums to 14mm press in studs. Does anyone out there know the correct size hole to drill for a good interference fit on the splines?

About .002-.003 crush is what I used on my 356-B drums. Make sure to give the holes a good countersink on the wheel face side of hole. Material rise's in direction of being pressed. And I set drum face's on thick wall tube, while pressing studs in. I hope that helps.

cheers danny. Only asked because i just got my discs and drums back from a local engineer and the holes have been drilled to 0.541(13.75mm). My studs are 0.543(13.8mm) on the shank between the splines and the thread but 0.586(14.9mm) on the actual splines. The engineer assured me i would be able to press them in but i am worried about doing damage. They aren't gonna fit are they?

You can do what I do when I am not sure of what I am doing, Try it on something that does not matter! Find a junk drum and practice.

X2 (plus you have 1.15 mm interference ) After double checking, warm up the drums/discs (gently) and leave the studs in your freezer overnight.

That just means you have 5 holes- 130 mm from center, Its the size of hole and size and DIA of bolt being pressed into hole is what your looking for.
