Looks great Sarge!

I noticed the spacer on the traction bar-- is that for tailpipe clearance?

Thanks, guys!  The old exhaust flat wore out, so it was time for a change.  As Dave pointed out, the traction bar had to be spaced down to clear the new pipes.  Tiger did the work at A-1 yesterday after an "exciting" drive to work in rush-hour traffic.  As (my rotten Roll Eyes) luck would have it, a motorcyclist went down on the freeway and traffic was at a stand-still for a couple of miles Angry.  Glad I got the clutch cable fixed a few weeks back!  The car sounds great Shocked though I did pull the traction bar off when I got home... not sure if I like the looks of it an inch closer to the ground Undecided.

How does it sound? Louder than your old setup? It looks really nice. Put a CSP or Bug-pack brace in there and then get rid of the engine bar.

BARS???  We don't need no stinking BARS!!!  It sounds sweet, Louis... my old set-up had a few holes and sounded pretty ratty.

Next Wednesday I'm hoping my copy of Keith's new book arrives on my doorstep...I ordered it through amazon.com.uk as I just couldn't wait anymore through Motorbooks.com or the U.S. Amazon counterpart...after reading the review in Hot VWs I'm plenty stoked to read it!

It works great when you're racing on the ¼ mile track... make sure that you're in the left lane, activate the smoke screen that deploys from the exhaust, and leave your competition in the dust/smoke.

Speaking of Cal Look cars, can't wait to see yours on the road. Lemme know if you ever need help with it.

Cool, Ian! We were just talking about that at Nick's, the other night.

Schwimmer's okay with new Beetles... long as the owners are female. But he still calls 'em Rabbits. My older son doesn't llike 'em either. He says that they're chick cars. HAHA!! They'd be cool if they were rear engined.

Speaking of things in the mail; when is Keith gonna send himself over here again... in May?

there are a couple of differentriations , due to all the different versions of jeans editions over the years .
you could even get a kit from vw to make your "ordinary" beetle into a jeans ... this came with "stiching" stripes to put on your car !!
