Found this on the internet.... EL MONTE - A man was shot and killed at an auto shop in El Monte Wednesday morning, police said. Police responded to an auto shop in the 3500 block of Santa Anita Avenue at 6:29 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials said. The shooting occurred at 5:45 a.m., deputies said. The man killed was Hector Urias, a family man who enjoyed auto racing and had one of the fastest Volkswagen Beetles around, said friend Bob Elias. "He was such a good guy," Elias said. "I don't know that this guy had any enemies." Elias, a drag racer, knew Urias from the racing community, he said. In addition, their wives work together at a local elementary school, he said. He said the Urias family was just about to finalize an adoption. There will be a celebration at Irwindale for Hector Thursday the 16th, Please come out with your VW's to show your support for such a great Man
The truly sad part about this is that this party had already been planned to celebrate Hector's 48th Birthday

Like DKK steve said,He was a great guy !! Had beers at his shop about two months ago and he was a type to make you feel at home. Got to LA last night and was watching the news and heard. Slamed me! He will be missed. GOD takes the good ones earlie

Never met Hector, but watched him make runs down the track, and he always had a BIG posse at his pit.
He's a huge role model, he will be missed.
