Which type of bolts/nuts are used for Erco rims (street version)? The original beetle ball-seat bolt seem to fit quite well but not perfect.

I have 14 mm press in studs from CSP in Sweden and tranporter nuts. If I remember correct the brand on the studs was Bugpack.
Note: You have to have special washers on Ercos.

Where do you get these washers? Are the washers centered in the bolthole or are they flat on the backside?

Flat on the backside. I bought mine from Tim Moores at HSL racing in the UK and if I remember correct they were less than a € each.

ROMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You are NOT supposed to lighten the brakes....Does not apply to the rules of dragracing. As you have a street car pretending it is a race car you will end up in discussion with the tech inspectors.........(How do I know!! Smiley )

Even Erco has the washers.......

At the tech inspection:
-Do you have lightened drums? Thats illegal!
-No sir, those are aftermarket drums with bigger holes for easier adjustment! Wink

The only concern I have is how the rim is centered on the drum. If the washer is flat on the backside, IMO there is nothing that centers the rim. The hole in the rim has some sort of ball seat but thatīs not used with the washer then?

With Erco wheels the studs themself centers the wheel on the drum, not the center of the drum. The holes are drilled so precisly that it is sometimes very hard to fit them the first time. The washers make up a seat for the swiwel on the nut.

I measured the holes on my rims to about 15.5mm. Thatīs not very tight on a 14mm stud.

Ercos catalog says "Alu wheel washers,nessesary with all 0,125" drag wheels"
If you have the 0,190" and a ball seat made in them, I think itīs just to bolt them on, ask Eric at Erco (If he ansvers!) he should know.

why cant you use std chromed T1 bolts? I mounted wheels from CMS yesterday using std 12mm bolts. Since the wheels are made by the same hand i guess its the same hole Smiley They look the same.. Only difference was that i had to use longer bolts.

I have only used .125" wheels from Erco and they are flat with no countersunk in them. Erco makes has his own drill fixture for his rims and it is done in house. The area of the section meeting the bolt gets bigger with this metod and increases the ability to withstand torque from a violent start.

The front could be easely centered with some centering bushings, what about the rear wheels ? I will have 14 mm studs.
I'm thinking of a "2 way" washer....One side bushing the bolthole in the wheel, the other side "accepting" whatever wheelnut ??
