Today I got my rear apron ready for paint. The header hit the apron that´s why I needed to do something.
It seems to be nothing special but it was a tough nut to crack for me as I´m not very familiar with the shaping of sheet. Grin
I'm very happy with the result. That´s why I´d like to share the pics.
That definitely was learning by doing...

That exaust flows best for street engines. It makes the most overall power  Smiley I use those since 1983

Cool topic Smiley How did you do the center 'hole' without welding? Just a hammer and hours of work?

@ Nico: As said above, this exhaust is a selfmade by Udo Becker. I found a pic where you can see how it looks like when it´s not mounted.

@ vwcab: Thanks for your interest! This picture is without engine, bumpers,... so the look is a bit "ass up"  Smiley

@ rebel: After I cut out the section that I wanted I used a caliper to bend the metal the direction I wanted it (just a little bit). The rest is hammering...hoping...hammeing...hoping...  Cheesy

Thanks !  Wink How about the sound ?

Loud´n clear! Cheesy
Haven´t had it on the street yet. Hearing it in the shop I´m a bit afraid in consideration of my friend "TÜV" (technical service in germany).

Engine is a 1920ccm. Car is a 72 Standard with some ... I call it "Bastard-modifications" like the wrong rear decklid that came with the car when I found it.
I don´t change it for now as I´m more into getting it going than having an all original body. Maybe I´ll change it back to 72 later...maybe!
