the car had several corvair engines
a 2.3L with holley carb (1st pict)
and a 3.1L with 48 ida , and lot of HP
and i remember a day at bomal a gasket was sucked up the engine , and since that time the car wasn't running anymore corvair , because emerson is still worked on , and at that time the future plan was changing the 2 48 ida by 2 triple body 46ida from a porsche
but no news about a long time now :-/

Good looking car. Too bad it's not a 911 six, back there.

Really dig (and always did) that fasty. Such a cool car with thinking out of the box! The gold alu work is so fantastic clean! Only thing I would change: Fill the arches a bit more with a pair of 16`s.

How well do a pair of 48 work on a 6? Must be some type of plenum manifold?

I've seen your post on F4F, changed your mind again? Hey Dem, yeah, i dont think the bus is going to happen fore some reasons, like it would hardly fit in my small garage and with a type 3 i can reuse my gearbox and other parts,... but we ll se what time brings...

I'm a type 3 fanatic, so I like the idea! But why suddenly you want to get rid of the KG ?

Hello Fabs, do you remember where the burnout pics were taken? Cool shots It was in France for the Super VW National near Bordeaux. Don't remember the year but as it was at that place it must be in the late '90s/early '00s.

Hello Fabs, do you remember where the burnout pics were taken? Cool shots as nico said it was in 1999 at the 12super vw @ Lege cap feret and the place was called the grand crohot ,i take thos picture i had emerson on the phone the other day and talking about the tread and he say that the 3.1 with the 48 ida had something around 210hp and with the triple 46 ida (porsche) he will have something around 270hp ,but the project is sleeping

First engine: 2300cc full stock (2 ridiculous Rochester carbs, around 80/90 hp) Second engine: 3100 full modified (2700cc or 164ci base with 94mm vw cylindre kit, ported heads, ultra light flywheel, unknown cam, 48 IDA's,....and it was pulling!!!) This engine broke and is still not fixed. Emy put a type 4 for some time so he could drive. Then he bought a third corvair, 2700cc 140hp, reverse rotation and with a Holley carb with circular filter.
