Type 34 and early ’60s Bug. Is it an old photo, or recent? Anyone know the story behind it?

the second one is a belgian car from Brussel. I think it was a problem of the turbo.
If it's the car that I think, The friends of the owner collect and offered him an other car. A 67 I think but not certain.
