i am on the market for a empi coilstrap, the one with the longer supports that set the coil lower on the shroud.

The supports aren't part of the coil strap, they are seperate pieces that work with the stock strap.

ah, any details on it? prehaps a picture? if it is just an extention i can probally make something similar.
