Ok...Lookin for some opinions on this thought !..I'm thinking of running a CB rotary fuel pump instead of the Holly blue cuz I'm hearing too many stories about Hollys goin bad !....I've been hearing good things about the CB's....So now this is my question..! which one should I run the 3 1/2 or the 5 1/2...?..I will be running a regulator with a gauge because it's already there and I like the way it looks .......Any thoughts ?........ Huh

Ive used the CB 3.5 for a few years with great results.

Ditto.  I have used the 3.5 CB rotary fuel pump for about 3 years now.  I like it, its quiet and doesn't shake the hell out of the car...LOL!

my holley went bad, got a facet red top now. the cb 3.5 looks good too, though i had to get a pump with threads to go with my plumbing  Wink

I have what I think is the CB 3.5 but it has been out of the wrapper for so long I cannot remember.  What are the identifying numbers on the body of the fuel pump.  I am just finishing up my fuel lines and getting the car ready to run and want to mount it once I'm sure I have the right one.

I've been running my Holley Blue for going on 17 years now ... still no problems.
And, I made a custom bracket for it so it's rubber mounted and actually pretty quiet. You can just hear it power up before starting ...

Just wanted to throw a rock in the glass house!  Grin But it is true.

If you run the CB 3.5 you dont need the regulator, ditch it, less joins in the fuel line means less chance of leaks.

I only had my cb 3.5 for 2 years, and it has failed. Holley here I come.

I will be using the Mallory "Comp 70" 4070LP pump. 4 PSI , 70 gallons per hour, quiet, made in the USA, uses NPT fittings and rebuildable. I've been the Holley Red and Facet route and wanted something more reliable.

It was a street car until i moved house and decided to start fiddling with it.  should have left it as a 1914 and driven it for the last 7 years!!!  hopefully this year, just waiting on JC to build it.

Guys.... Thanks for all the info...!...it's what I'm lookin for ..!..I thought I had the fuel line figured out but now I'm battling it out in my head..!it's the last thing before the motor goes in....! I want it to look good but want it to be reliable also..I was going via AN route with my fuel line .! which is already in place..!

Anyone have any pics on their fuel line system...?. ...I would like to get more Ideas

I would like to go with the CB but it doesn't have threaded fittings so I have to think of a second choice......Huh

Randy, a Mallory. Can you hear mine when its on? OR, you can do the adapter thing for the push on lines at the tank, then AN from there. CB still sounds good though! And allot cheaper too!

Ted ...How much was your Mallory..?...If I can find a way to go from AN to the CB I'd run the CB 5 1/2 with my regulator

Haven't got that far yet. I have the pump (after 6 months back order), but need to decide weather to go with a bypass style regulator or the standard Holley "red" regulator.

Finally put fuel through my Mallory pump. I can barely hear it with the engine off. The pump on my wife's Chrysler mini van is louder. Solid 4psi with no regulator, but the instructions say I can slightly adjust the output pressure up or down by adjusting the bypass plug on the pump.

Yeah..... I ended up with the CB pump which is a Carter pump and I'm very happy with it !......I went with the 5 1/2 because I'm running a regulator .......I have it mounted on the firewall and can barely here it

I use CB 3,5 PSI since 2006 no problem with it (especially with shity polish fuel). I put those in all my customers cars, never had problems with them also (the same with 5,5PSI).
by the way did any of you put a pressure swich with it?
