Has anyone got any experience fitting a mid mount like this one?
As I understand the rubbers need to compress in order to install the mid mount, but my attempts so far have been in vain.

I wouldn't. Rule of thumb is all solid or all rubber and I ain't going with solid mounts, hence I wanna use what I already have.  Smiley

Perhaps if you put a jack under the engine/transmission and take out the two bolts that secure the transmission cradle to the frame horns the lower the jack a little and install the mount on the transmission and put the rubber mounts in place then jack the engine/transmission back up and install the bolts.  I would think that would work.  You will need a long 27mm box end wrench in order to break it loose and get it tight again.

Thanks Don, that makes sense! I'll see how that works out (once I get to work on my car again).
Just one question, won't that put the front mount (front rubber) under a lot of stress?

I run a stock nose cone mount, a mid mount like you have there, and a solid rear mount.  I installed my mid mount on the trans with it out of the car.  Doing it in the car may require a jack like suggested.  My solid rear mount is great......no issues.

Cos frame horns vary a bit you need to trim the urathane untill it is a firm fit but not forced or yes, you will tear the front mount. Guess how i found that out Undecided
