late model big nut pinion bearing

been collecting whatever parts i can to rebuild my late swing axle core, AS code.
my local sourced called me up they found a late model pinion bearing for me, but told me it is for the earlier IRS box, not the later SSC ones. asked for part number but due to some communication issues here with the locals, they only told me it is FAG Germany 531068A
AFAIK, there are only 2 types of pinion bearing, early 4 bolt and late single big nut. told them to send me some pics, but haven't done so yet. may have to go check it out myself next 2weeks.
tried to find the part number , but all i can find is 002 311 219A and 002 311 219B
whats the difference between A and B?
thanks

There were 3 different threaded pinion bearings used in Type 1 gearboxes after 1970.
The first two are identical except that the second version incorporated the 1st gear thrust washer as part of the inner race. IOW, it eliminated a part. Other than that, no difference. And no benefit of one over the other.
In 76, the Type 1 got the Bus 091 pinion bearing. Externally, it's identical. The only difference is the size of the rollers. The two previous bearings had the same size rollers on each side of the bearing. The 091 bearing has larger rollers on the pinion head side, and smaller rollers on the 1st gear side.
All types can be used in German made 1970 and later gearboxes.
