Anyone running these on stock spring plates? I bought this set second hand and they are making a ton of noise. Do you need to run a spacer like in the picture?

There are two different sizes; one for SAW spring plates and one for stock....

Mine are for stock, I am guessing use of a spacer would be the same for both?

I've never used them with stock spring plates, but also have never needed to use a spacer.
Have you measured anything?

They kinda look like JC plates, might want to give Jack a call, maybe he can shed some light.

Well I am trying to get the car ready for The Classic so I think I will just go back to stock for now. I think the issue is that the bushing is a bit loose in the alu retainer. Everything looks ok and measures out it as far as I can see. I have seen some set up with a spacer, but only a few.

The aluminum plates are the same for both applications. Only the bushing ID is different for the two different spring plates. You can press out one bushing and press in the other one.

Mount the plate retainers and measure the distance to the torsion bar casting. A grade 8 flat washer or two, on each mounting bolt will shim the plate out. I like to fit the spring plate retainers, or grind the poly bushings to fit "without" the rear torsion bars installed. That way, you are sure that they will not bind and move freely up and down when the bolts are torqued down. After your happy with the fit, just install the torsion bars and set your ride height.

I might be crazy (nothing new there,)and but I didn't think anyone made a plate for stock spring plates. Do they? The taper on a stock plate would make it hard.
