Hello Richard
if you dont find any you could use front backing plates from a 1302/3. You need some lathe cutting to the center hole -to make it bigger- and drill the four holes for the bearing plate that holds it in place, then you make the rectangular holes for the handbrake cables and you weld a nut there for the fixing, and here you go you have your t3 backing plates. That assuming that you can do those jobs or have somene to do them for you, cheers

Hi Richie
I 'll be using 5 stud drums; I heard the backing plates for all swing axle T3 will work though (although 4 stud ones have the extra adjusting holes in them)?
Thanks

Hi Richie
Did you get a chance to see whether you had these? As mentioned in my post I am going 5 stud but understand that any type 3 swing axle backing plate will work?
Many thanks

Still looking for these and have a bit of a deadline! The NZ VW Nationals are at Easter and keen to fit these in the next couple of weeks as I fit my new trans!
