So, at CustomMotorBodies it looks like we're building another Cal-Looker....

The starting point....

And here's kinda where I'm headed:

I'm thinking early/mid 80's style with a little DKP2 and 2016 thrown in....

Definitely a full on IDA'd engine...... but maybe more 80's style in appearance Grin

I'm swaying between yellow / Aqua / magenta this week ....haha, although decision time on that is a long way off!

I'll do the necessary welding and get the pan sorted over the winter and start thinking about prepping the body next spring, works pretty damn hectic and time to work on my own stuff is limited.....

Blended guards, scallops with all 3 colours, louvres on the engine hatch, body colour tinwork, chromed intakes........

80's style!!

I've been told that AssHull's car I built was 80's style. Totally not what I was going for, and not my favourite era of Cal Look  Roll Eyes Ohh well, compliment is a compliment Wink

Haha...... Well hopefully it will be a little more tasteful than some of those 80's cars,  but I think there's a few nice aspects from that era that aren't getting used nowadays on Cal Lookers.....

We'll see how things progress... Grin

Well mine looks very similar to the red one, so I vote yours should be the aqua colour!

I agree with the Aqua too . As you know I prefer earlier era lookers , but with the right colour the painted trim thing works great .

really looking forward to follow this build.
Like the idea of 80s paint with nice stance and mean engine.
I'd go for turqoise with pink pan and colour matched Fuchs wheels Grin

Yes! Grin

Harder to do a big window chop than a small window, but it looks pretty good from where I'm sitting!

Thanks Neil,  it sure is!    I think these cars just need a bit more material  taking out,  and a lot of care & attention around the rear quarter windows....

That things got a REALLY nice curve to the roof, looks great!
I like the rear side windows being extended, makes it look way better balanced on the rear.
 Cool
