Had a MAJOR fuel spill yesterday. Dropped at least 2 gallons on the highway..

I've got older VW Speedshop 45mm throttle bodies, and ID1000s injectors with 11mm top hat extenders. THey are not nearly long enough. Need 5-8mm longer top hats.

I've tried to search, but came up empty handed.

The ones I have are 11mm above the "ridge".

See picture.

Spooky! I pulled my hats off of my IDs. Just one more point to leak. What kind of injectors are those manifolds supposed to be used with. Purple top IDs should be pretty standard length.

Ordered a set of height adapters for 1/2 size injectors. Will need to shim the fuel rail upwards, but thats perfectly fine.

Alot better now.

Shimmed the rail up 10.5mm

Now there is 1.5mm play in height under the rails.
