SOLD Genuine EMPI 15" wood rim steering wheel
- wheel itself is in good condition and has the EMPI stamp on the back of one spoke
- has an original EMPI boss for later Beetle & Type 3 with smaller splines (Beetle from 1960- and Type3)
- Original horn button assembly is missing (I do have a nicely machined aluminum "cap" to cover the hole).
- Also available a Flat4 boss with larger splines for earlier Bugs drilled to accept the genuine wheel. There is also a repro hor button with EMPI logo for the Flat4 boss.
Price £500 / €573 for the whole lot - I understand you might not need both bosses so might be willing to separate them...
Genuine Speedwell 15" wood rim steering wheel
- complete with original boss to fit 1960- Bug / Type3.
- condition is OK - the spokes are really good but the wood has been revarnished
- there is a 5 cm crack in the wood where one of the spokes attach to the rim (see image)

- Fake but looks nice and is quite rare. The button base is missing a small piece (can be replaced from a plain black bus horn button)
