Cal look tire size?

I just bought a decent '62. I'd like to do a Cal-look style build. I'd like to lower the rear one spline though and am looking for input on rear tire sizes. For the front I'm planning on 145/15 tires with dropped spindles. From what I've seen here and other places, the 205/65 or 70 is a popular size for the rear of a true Cal-look car. I'm wondering though if I should go with a 195 on the rear since I want to drop it one spline. ยูฟ่าเบท

It may depend on your wheel offset/size, but a 205/65 should do the trick, even with it slightly lowered. I personally run a 215/65 on the back of my car with Flat Four BRM's. I am lowered about a spline now (not in the images below) and have no issues. Personally, a 70 series tire is too tall for my taste and gearing.

Hi all, my first post here, no doubt of many, thought I'd add on to a post rather than starting another.
So I have a 71 1300 and looking for the same advice as the OP.
My 'plan' is to add a disc kit at the front with drop spindles - this kit - https://tinyurl.com/yykejsu9
I plan to drop the rear 1 or 2 clicks but more than happy to take advice on this.
For wheels I want to go with SSP Empi 8 which are 5.5j X 15 - https://tinyurl.com/yy32e44t
So, my question is, what size tyres should I be using? I would prefer a more compliant ride :)
