Art lived just a few minutes away from me.
I had the pleasure of visiting him and his shop a few times over the years.
He donated a number of old Aircraft engines to our Military aircraft museum.
I will miss him.

One of my favorites as a (younger) kid.  I saw him at a tractor pull event when I was probably 7 or 8 years old.

According to the Independent online he is to be buried with his wrenches in his hands, a manual for a J72 jet engine and a jar of Bonneville salt. RIP to a true legend  Sad
