WOW! What do I say....Thank you for the kind words and the welcome. Here are some pics and new pics of the new motor I just put in. Haven't fired it up yet. Saturday will know if it runs. Jim, was a pleasure talking with you at Nicks, we must talk some more. Fred, was that you that I met at nicks? Anyway, Thanks again all!

Nick's... maybe. But I think that it was at Autobooks. I forgot. My short term memory is toast from too many years of working rotating shiftwork. HAHAHA!!! Amazingly, my long term is hangin' in there.

Well, I'll be at Drag Day but without the car. Had major problem with new motor. Have a big knock in it, can't figure it out yet. I'm burnt out right now, besides it's COLD outside. May have to pull it out and take it apart, plus had other issues with it too. But I will be there, hope to see all you guys there.

Tell me about it, can't even see the car with all the dust that is on there and leaves on the floor. Hey,wish it would of turned out better. Oh well. see ya in the morning.

Hi Ted,
          Sorry to hear you had an issue with the motor, Sorry i have not sent you pics of the traction bar sent up yet, I will do it this weekend. I have been working flatout on the 79 to get it done for a vw show this weekend. I took it for its maden journey today, It was fun to see 2 10 meter long black marks in the rear vision mirror, it gets out of shape real easy. Hang in there Ted.
