For the last few months, I was more or less planning to go to Bug In this coming weekend, but a month or so ago, both of the friends who said they would drive out with me flaked out. I decided to skip it since I have a lot of stuff to do right now anyway, such as moving my shop at the end of the month, taxes to get done, lots of workto do in preparation for my 30th birthday party in a couple weeks, plus I'd probably end up missing at least a day of work. My girlfriend doesn't care if I go and I know a couple other guys from here who are going so I can hang out with them. I'd probably fly because it would be a long road trip alone, but tickets are still affordable.

The other reason I want to go is that I weas supposed to got to Bug In 32 but didn't make it. My Brother and I drove out to CA along with a good friend of ours in my '85 Mustang, which was a very nice car and ran low 12's in Denver. We were staying at my friends grandparents' house in Riverside. The friday evening before the show, I let my brother take the 'stang to somplace called "Thousand Oaks" to see some friends. Apperently he got pretty loaded and decided to take my car for a ride. He claims to not remember what happened, but my Mustang ended up with a bent axle housing, bent axle, some bent control arms, a blown out tire and an irreplaceable wheel broken. Needless to say, we missed the show.  And that wasn't nearly the end of that disastrous trip, but that's another story for another time.

Anyway, I would really like to go, but I can't decide if its worth it. Is it really that good of a show? Should I just say "fuck it" and go anyway? I can't decide.

D.B.O. Not a club; a state of mind.
