I have a 1956 Oval running CSP disc brakes 5x130mm. I have found some new wheels for it - 15x7in with a backspacing of 3.75in. I want to put them on the back but don't know if that is enough backspacing. Will they fit? If not what is the minimum backspacing on the rear of an Oval, running my brakes, for a 7in wheel?

try takeing straight edge off the front of brake rotor and measuring behind and front to see if anything hits, fender or wheel wells

Your going to have to take into consideration the tire height and especially width in relation to the springplate.

something else you can do is just bolt a peice of tubeing to center of axle and tack a peice to the end , like a T , and the T is the width of tire. then just rotate or spin brake drum or rotor and hopefully nothing hits.  just a thought
