I bought this car in either April or early May of 2007 and today is the first time I was able to drive it, WHOO HOO. I only put about 5 miles on it this evening, seeing as I wanted a short shake down. I do have a small bitch list of things I am not happy with but that is to be expected. From the pictures I can see I need to wash it, man that car is dirty. I need to drop the front another inch or so, it has an oil leak at both valve covers, and some other odds and ends. Engine is a 2332 w/ 125 cam and wedgeport heads. I set the comp ratio at a mild 9:1 so I could drive this one on longer runs. Ok, enough for now, back to the garage to start the fixin'

It sits perfect right now. No need to lower it more at all.

Thanks dudes! When I bought this I thought it would be a quick project and I would have it on the road lalst summer. But, as you know you just keep getting further and further into the car and before you know it a lot of time has passed. I cannot take credit for the struts on the lid, I copied Mike Lawless and his article in Hot VW's

The exhaust is a CSP piece that I have had for years. I traded it off and by some weird chance I ended up with it again. I thought I would try it because I could'nt see this car with a big ole muffler hanging off one side, and I had it here so the price was right

That body style looks good with that exhaust choice. I felt the same way with my Beetle, this time around. I've already had every type of muffler hanging below the body. So I had A-1 do something different. I almost bought one of those CSP ones, but the shipping would've been too much. I'm sure it sounds good, yes?

Looks good! I agree the stance is right on. The rear has zero camber, and you have a slight forward rake... not too much though Being a coupe, I think a Ghia looks best with a less pronounced rake than that of a cal look beetle. I'd say it is perfect
