Apparently, the winning bidder fell through, so as the next higher bidder I've got a second chance to buy it, but was just checking around to see what other folks thought... opinions, thoughts, etc? I realize the crank is cast, but I wasn't thinking in terms building a super abusive machine or anything like that. Any general thoughts on this package deal would be greatly appreciated...

FK-89 with a cast crank?
That cam comes on when the crank comes apart. Pass. I wouldn't use a cast crank in a stock engine. Looks like a bunch of junk he scraped together.

Volkswagen did... Late SA Bugs had cast cranks.

but they didn't have FK89 cams
the crank ruins the deal and makes you wonder how many more surprises you'll find...

New 2 piece Eaton lifters, I thought they were long gone!
700$ for all those parts does not look too expensive to me, if they are all new of course, and you can always sell the crank in ebay

I was watching that engine on ebay, but I decided to pass on it because of the cast cranck like everyone else.

In all honesty I had no intention running that cam with that crank. I think I will pass on it, as I'm not really in a financial standing to buy this package deal anywa...

I do find this entertaining...

Wisely, I passed on the deal... and I'm $700 richer for it... well, not richer, but even keel financially
