those guys bagging on the guy that did the work don't know their head from their ass. BMW did the same relief grooving on their F1 turbo 1.5 head-to-block joint. If the thing gets into detonation over overboost, it will blow off to side of gasket instead of blowing into adjacent cylinder, saving the motor. Those plug and play tuner internet geeks make me laugh.

BTW the BMW motor lived making 900+hp with help from those grooves. How many races did the Brabham win in the 80's with Piquet and that motor?  Shocked

At least one of those Evo guys has a brain.

Not sure if you looked through much of the thread, but that engine, drivetrain, induction system and everything else is getting completely cobbled together... on the 3rd clutch attempt, they took parts from two clutch disks and cut, then welded them together... scary stuff.. see page 21

hahaha... it's worth it for comic value alone.. just loooking at the photos.. the paint on the transmission that was not even degreased prior to being painted.. the similar paint on the driveshaft and axles, and suspension, and subframe, and oil cooler, etc etc... it's quite scary.
