Hey Guys! I guess the person to answer this question would be me  Grin I am the new owner of Peaches n Scream  Wink my plans for the car is to preserve it for possibly for another 25 years Ill show it from time to time and even drive it a little but for the most its just another toy in my toybox it will sit in my warehouse with the rest of my collection The reason I wanted the car is that I remember it at the shows when I was 18 yrs old hitting the SCS shows ect... I thought it was nice then and to me its amazing to see the condition its in after 25 years its hard to store a vehicle for 25 years without getting a scratch on it anyways just wanted a piece of history from my days and now I have it  Grin

That is very cool.  I totally understand why you wanted it and I can remember loving that car when it showed up in HVW's ad Colin burnhams book.

I hope you didnt take offense at the thread, it was just that this car was perfect for generating some conversation.

yes I am sorry for my joking comments..... about the hoodride

But I still would love to make the car a front runner in whatever the latest street car thing is..... I think a car painted in 80's Peach would be perfect to at least show everybody taillights with.

congrats on the purchase... I've always "looked twice" at that car in Colin's book,

I may be late, however, I remember working with Bob Jackson in the mid 80's prepping the car for a couple of shows. From what I remember, the porsche rims were not chromed, however they were polished inside ond out. Plenty Mothers and cornstarch to get them sparkling! I gave him 2 metal Ala Moana Volkswagen license plate frames and have a pic of my (now) first ex wife, posing with Peaches, front hood up and the "Lo Peach" plate with Ala Moana frames in the pic. She was inside his display for the shot. Anyway, he was cool. I was in the Marine Corps a that time, stationed at Pendleton. I'd get into LA when ever I could and we'd hang out and bench race.
Congrats to teh new owner...please keep it close to the original condition....she is a piece of history. Aloha, Frank
