Who was the first ever to detail a "gas burner" Mahle

Jon:
You know the Black/polished look...  and is it a VW thing or a Porsche thing? ???

Bill Schwimmer:
Definitely a VW thing,  the Porsche crowd did'nt have anything to do with these until the VW guys started paying too much for them amongst themselves. As for detailing them , the 1st set I ever saw was from a guy named Mike Kukar (?) from DKB in Huntington Beach. This was about 84 or 85. A friend of ours named Ben Peche had some in the late 80's & then Henry O had his in the early 90's. It took a little bit after that for them to go from $150 a set to $2000 a set. They seem to have come down a bit lately. Cool wheels  always .   Bill

Jon:
Thank you Bill! The treatment is that old...hmm maybe I will keep them detailed... nah probably not :)

wolfswest:
:o  is it that old?  I didn't know that, I thought it was a "new" thing.  Ik like them detailed the most though...

speedwell:
