Calling California - Riverside, come in please!!

So for ten years since I first got into Cal-look VW's i've always wanted to go to California but never got round to actually going...

Well, looks like I might be going to Riverside with work (first week in October)....woo hoo!

So, somebody school me, where, what and when is a VW nut to do? Any cool shops about that might like to give me a tour? Any meet's happening at any time? Any mid week evening racing??

Irwindale raceway has racing every Thursday nite and is not far from Riverside.

but in costa messa you must  visit hotvws editions
a lot of fun there and some cool rare past issue of the magazine are still for sale
