Only difference is it will be in black . 2276cc motor with gene berg 5 speed Airkweld bad series brakes . Carbon fibre interior . Cheers Harry

It doesn't sound like a restoration it sounds like your killing the original and resurrecting something else

 Wink

That was a cool car.  Driver was questionable...but the car was great!  Wink

Where did it end up?

Austria...but it has been torn apart and all the race goodies stuffed into a bug. IDK, but I believe it was being sold again.

Mine, too. But that looks like a '68 with the fuel flap thumb recess and the plastic rear window (pretty sure 69's were glass).

Nice car though Smiley

Mine! Still would like to try color coded head und tail light bezels and getting rid of the over riders (but don't like the look of three piece bumpers because of the bolts and nuts holding them together, so one piece bumpers would be way to go). Cal Look rubbers are not available for the Type 34 so that would be the next problem. Anyway, that's the way it is right now.

Georg, there is a guy that makes cal-look rubber. I had it on my ghia before I re-did it. Email Lee Hedges and he can probably tell you, I believe it is a guy here in the states (Oregon) that made them. Are you a part of the Type-34 registry? I am sure you would find them on that site. I know that the cal-look rubber was a lot cheaper than the rubber to house the trim...granted I think I got my window rubbers back in '02

Hmm, you could be right. But from what I know is that the glass windows started in 69 1/2. Its sitting on an irs pan but its not the original pan from the car. I bought the body cut in two pieces and used another pan.
That type 3 ghia looks awsome by the way!

Hi Georg,
To me this is the best looking Type 34 ever, one of the first as I can remember in Callook style.  Hope to see it next week at DDD.
