hmmmm.....

Got another little problem to deal with in building this 2442 race engine.  Roll Eyes

Offered up the JayCee 2" exhaust this evening and it clashes with the Autocraft oil pump. Big time.

I presume these pumps have been used with merged headers since time began, so I doubt I am encountering something new here. So the question is, which exhaust clears the Autocraft pump?

Any hints would be helpful- either 2" or 1 7/8" fully merged race header preferably stainless and good quality. Who sells 'em?

On mine I spaced out the header on #2 & #4 with extra header flanges, and this was enough to clear the pump. Bernie

I have the same as Mr Newbuy's. I used flanges to space out the header. I also polished off the two lower corners. It fit and it was close. After a few big wheelies that smacked my header into the track, it clearanced itself
