Title: Narrowed beam must go
Post by: nigelg65 on February 02, 2009, 10:18:33 am
So here's the thing: I'm reinventing my car and I want to get rid of the narrowed beam. Currently I have original 4.5in Fuchs on the front and deeps sixes on the back (which are for sale if any one is interested). I have bought a set of Ansen slot mags and was wondering of anyone knows whether they will fit under the front wings with a stock beam? (The front Ansens are 5.5inx15.)

The car is a 1956 Oval running Porsche pattern and disc brakes.

You'll probably want to keep it.
One of our members runs Ansens (Damien, silver car with the turbo). They have so much offset he had to narrow them and run a narrowed beam at the same time.

I'm running 5,5 Ansens with 155s with a stock width puma beam, and they fit ok (slight rubbing now and then), I'm running stock spindles and drums though, I don't think they would fit with dropped spindles and discs.

Ahhhhhh, interesting. What 155s are you running Alex and are you running Ansens on the back?

By the way, Damiens bug is in the California look Issue of Volksworld, the goldish turbo charged 58.
