Post by: speedwell on July 21, 2007, 13:52:32 pm
hy another tread  with old cal look ghia  ,i hope you like this one he was built by doug mische in the mid of 70's doug was DKP II  member at that time and work at AUTO HAUS shop , the ghia was an 68/69 painted in oriole yellow , the chrome trim were painted in balck , and the bumpers were removed to add t bars  8) (very cool on a ghia) , inside the car we found an complete set of VDO gauges , DDS shifter , and formuling france steering wheels , the engine was an 2L with 48 IDAs on DDS manifold mounted on headflow performance heads , distributor was an 010 bosch , and S&S exhaust , the car sitting on a set of riviera wheels that doug swapped later for fuschs wheels ,
that car has the good stance for a ghia cal look  :o i like it  8)

Oh my God!  I haven't seen these pics in years.

I loved that car.  It was stolen and stripped and burned.  When it was stolen, it had a 84x90.5 motor with 44 x 37.5 spread-port heads and a Engle 130 cam.  It had Porsche 911 gauges, Recaro LS seats, Porsche allolys 14x5.5 in front, and 15x7 in the back.  I ran 185/70's in the rear and I had to grind the fenders to make them clear.  They cleared by about 3mm!

I still miss that car and it's been gone 25 years.  It had an original DKP hood badge on it and my FASRNU plates when it was stolen.

WOW!  Thanks for the memories...
