I am selling some of my engine parts as I really need the space.

The 48IDAs are old italian items, they have been sat in my garage for a while but working all OK when I took them out of my old car. One of the trumpets has been slightly trimmed to clear the decklid.

Also have very old tall skat-trak manifolds match ported to a pair of 94mm street eliminator heads, the heads were reworked by John Maher Racing when he built the engine. They have 44x37mm and are in good condition, very low mileage, probably only 2000miles from new.

I was thinking £1,100 for the lot? Huh thats heads, manifolds and carbs!

Ian

Which engine has these heads been sitting on? What is the combustion chamber cc? Are the carbs OK or are they worn out?

Can these parts be delivered to Volksworld show?

The engine was a 2276cc type one, I am not sure of the CC's the motor was 8.5:1 CR. They have had the works by John Maher, with a conservative comp ratio, street tyres a heavy car and stock ratio box the car was always good for driving 200miles and run consistent low 13 quarters. I think I paid JMR £1000 ish just to rework the heads 10 years ago!

The carbs are old, but they are tidy and work fine. In fact I have some new IDA's on a different motor and they are nowhere near as good as the Italian IDAs, if they don't sell I may swap them over. I will post some photos as soon as I find my camera.

Oh I can get them to the Volksworld show, but I hoped they would go before then!

Regards

Samba 66,

I have already received an a couple of offers on the parts, but basically the best offer and first deposit will secure and I can arrange to get them to the buyer at the volksworld show.
