When we talked to Tims at The Classic I think he said the max hp out of the stage 2 heads was about 150

Zach, I think you or he meant 150hp on the Stage1. And it's probably rwhp with the belt on.
The reason being I made about 150 flywheel hp w/o belt on JPM's dyno with my 2276 with 40x35mm valves and almost no porting...

hi cal-look,

if cam and lifters are ok i will only put 1.25 ratio rockers in the new heads, but till now there is no answer from greg tims about a cheaper shiping so i have to wait and drink a beer!!!

hi zach,

like JS said 40/35.5 valves are good for 150-160 hp without welding or even more, look at mike mahaffey's split: 82X92 W130 valvesize 40/32 192 hp with fan belt Grin Grin Grin

my 2 eurocent

I don't think so... Maybe he said 160, but it was no more than that. I think what he was trying to do was get us sold on the Signature heads Wink Which he did! Roll Eyes

That's for the stage 2

He sad he recommends anything between w-120 over k-8 to fk-87,for intended use.

For the high lift applications they have special PSI springs available for additional $200.

My stage 1 heads flowed 163cfm @ max lift on a French flow bench, so no worries with the Stage 2 heads  Wink

here is the flow chart but in France we use the "litre par seconde -> lps"

We have 48 lps under 10" of water -> 163 cfm under 25" of water @ 15 mm lift.

Airspeed is good with 70 meters/seconds.

Ratio exhaust/intake is 90%

All 8 ports:

Average:

They were on my old bus 1775 engine, and they will go on my 2074cc

A friend ordered two sets of stage 1 heads in mid december and received those yesterday, please, let Steve & Greg do their job, if you purchased Stage 1 heads, they ran out of 40mm valves...

Maybe you prefer a pair of poor heads for tomorow?
