Title: Feedback on King Covers from JPM?
Post by: Eric Ellis (57HotrodVW) on October 28, 2022, 15:49:32 pm
Hi all,

I'm looking for some valve covers with addt'l clearance, without the leaks that can occur with bolt on covers.

I was curious who is running the King Covers from JPM, and what your experience was like. They seem like a great option.

Thanks!

I haven’t used them, but what benefits would they have over a scat clip on cover?

O-ring sealing.

Stainless Scat’s take stock gaskets (with tabs to secure it in place),  has enough clearance for Pauter rockers and a lot cheaper..

At least that. I haven’t use Scat clip on covers, so I don’t know more about those. Anyway, I’m not fun of clip on covers and original seals, at least in my race car…

I have JPM king covers, but I modified those for 8mm bolts fastening.. No leaks.. Maybe I can find or take a picture of those.
