Hi Kev! Good to hear from you. I won't be going to Bitburg this year unfortunately. I'm in fabulous Greece now having a nice time doing NOTHING!  ;D
I'll be home in another 10 days, just enough time to get my car ready for SCC, and helping out a bit in setting up the event.
If you can get your ass on a plane saturday 1st, I'll set you up with a place to stay!  ;) Get in touch, you have my number...

Lee, Thanks, I'll get a couple of rolls off this guy.

How does Termotec work? Do you have to use water to soften it up, then you stretch it and wrap it around the header before it stiffens and stays there? Or is Termotec a wrap that stay soft and you have to use something to make is stay where it should?

I have tried both and must say I rather use the ones that needs water to soften up.

I have Thermo Tec on my header at the moment and it's secured using some stainless straps which they do to for use with it, basically a steel cable tie. I thought the stuff was quite expensive until I found a rally prep specialist who does it for about half the price of the big retailers, if you are interested and don't have a place in Norway that does it I can try to dig up their number.

 :)

Yep, stays soft. I used SS hose clamps to keep it in place.
I'm changing the header this winter so i'm doing it all over again...  :-\

Use water to soften it. Gets very smooth so application is a breeze. It even stays semi soft after you've used the car so there is no problem with it loosen. I used stainless hose clamps on each end of the pipes.
