DFL 402 Cal-Look Trophy 2010

Since last years successfull starting of this event, we'd like to continue with what we've started:

DFL 402 Cal-Look Trophy happens during the 1on1 Bitbug event (Airbase Bitburg) on the 5th and 6th of June.

The DFL 402 Cal-Look Trophy judgement will consider your best time slip plus Show 'N Shine quality of your car.

Conditions for participation:

All streetlegal vehicles that feature an aircooled engine in the back (providing a succesfull safetycheck of the 1on1 team) can take part. Participation is FREE -there are no extra costs adding up to the normal prices for racing the 1/4 mile at Bitburg Raceway!

Racing will start on saturday and end on sunday at 11 o'clock. You can race as many times as you like, just make sure to collect all your time-slips. Later on you give us the one with your best time (no red light) - not later than sunday 11 o'clock!

After Racing closes on saturday all participants meet at our clubstand to line-up the vehicles. The jury consisting of the DFL members (DFL members will not take part in the Trophy) will judge quality and style of your cars. Of course having the »right Look« here will not be to your disadvantage! But be assured we dare look beyond our own nose of the Cal-Look world!

Vehicles will be judged as follows:

car body/paintjob (10 points)
interior (10 points)
engine bay (10 points)
rims/wheels (10 points)
overall impression (15 points) All in all 55 points.
For your best time on the 1/4 mile you can get max. 45 points. Fastest will get 45 -slowest 0 points. All times inbetween will be interpolated - meaning drivers will get their points according to the relation of the times of the fastest and the slowest.

So you have a chance winning one of the three trophys with a very nice but not so fast car as well as a not so nice but extremely fast one.

Award ceremony will be on sunday 1 pm at our clubstand.

So be there and have a nice time and lots of fun!

You can get your DFL 402 participation form through inscription via e-mail to:

felix@dflclub.de

or get your copy directly at our clubstand at Bitburg Raceway.

More info to the BITBUG event: www.bitbug.eu

On this note, Gentlemen -start your engines!

Yours sincerely DFL VW Club

Helmet & seat belts. The normal 1on1 tech rules are counting:
(scroll down a bit for english version)

Only one week left. So be there or be square! It will be a hell of a weekend!

You can mount your belt in the heather channels. There is always a provision for seatbelt in a beetle (except the old ones).

Your bug should have fixing points for 2 point belts which will be ok. Take a look under the carpet...

You could download a inscription for DFL402 here:
http://bitbug.eu/dfl.zip
Or come to our stand and fill it out there.

Cheers,
Felix
