It was a awesome weekend!! Great wheather, and great cars!
The first run of Der Express was a 12.1 at 173km/u. After that the car had some ignition problems.
I will upload a video soon.

To bad I haven't see you there George.

Here are some teasers, for the rest of the photo's, click here: http://www.cal-look.nl/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=60

Thanks to everybody who competed in our little DFL 402 cal look trophy!
There will be pictures and results posted soon.

Congratulations to Jeroen/DVK who raced "Der Express" hard and fast! The car is one of my favorites and even looks pretty safe now!;-)

Congratulations also to the swiss Luftkraft gang! Christoph improved his pb to a 13.6, Dominique made great wheelies and low 13s in his turbo´d 1914cc looker and Urs drove all the way from Switzerland and managed a 13.6 on radials!

Our latest member Christian "Kreutzi" Kreutzmann had his debut on the quartermile with his recently finished JPM-build 2332cc and managed to run a 14.1 on radials with lots of wheelspin. Not too bad for the first time.
Christian/DFL had his with experience with slicks and still has to get used to the "interesting" feeling at higher speeds so he couldn´t improve his pb.
Unfortunately we also had some bad luck. Otto/DFL´s 2332cc and my 2176cc now don´t have no (or nearly no) oilpressure anymore so we could just run 3 times before we had to be spectators.

I hope everybody came home without trouble and I hope that everybody had as much fun as we had!
Bye,

Tobi

Big big thanks to the DFL for a cool weekend.
It was a lot of fun with all the crazy guys from Germany, Switzerland; the Netherlands and so on...

Without some problems on the engine I would have some more runs..
But now I have only some more experience and a cool burnout shot Wink Thanks Olaf!

It is a 66 Bug, 94x78,4 engine . I offered him all parts and did the heads for him and he builds the engine and gearbox. He still drives it on the street like a dailydriver.

Looks great. What was the quickest run of the weekend overall (ignoring show car points)?

Fantastic pics too!

I only know Der Express ran a 11.6 and I ran a 12.04
The 600 hp subaru engined green "split" ran a 9.6  Cheesy
but I'am sure there must have been more 11 second cars ?

Some more pics I managed to take whilst racing also:
In the return area:
