Hi everyone

My name is Fredrik and I'm 37 years old, i live in Sweden,my occupation is welder and mechanic in the heavyindustry.
My hobby is Volkswagen's.....................





Here is my new project 63 ragtop,its going to be a race car.

I will begin rust repair the body first.

Comp Eliminator heads 48/38,ported by JPM,flow 235 cfm "16"
JPM Raptor cam
CB 5.5 H-rods
MSD ignition,AL 6,and distributor
15:1 in comp with VP 114 octane race fuel
51 EPC Carbs

I have some machine jobs left to do on the block before i can start the first assembly
crank balancing,and the pistons needs deep valve notches.

This week I have started with the chassis.

I raised the gearbox four inches.



Left heater channel and quarter section finally finished.
A thick layer of old body filler  Huh

Bad fit.......

It has been changed once before so it was a bit more welding.


Update,the body has become a single skin and I have started with the rear wheel arches.....

What colour are going with? I was thinking Chesnutt brown or Texas (oboj) brown for it with 3,5", 10" ERCOs. That's the way I'm going with my 57 Ghia....

It will be painted beige "old kdf color" It will look like a 82e
but with Erco rims.

Got some engine stuff from CB Performance, titanium valves, JayCee 51.5, A1 1-7/8 exhaust,
cylinders and pistons.
Soon it's time to start building up the engine  Smiley
