Always loved that green car, it is like that for years.
The wheels are only 14" , but i think they look cool, i raced against it in Bitburg NICE!!

VERY nice car! I dig that engine, too... my roommate had that very engine with 48 IDA carbs in his Ruby Red '66. Then, we put that same engine with 44 IDF carbs in his '70 Westfalia. Both were SO much fun to drive.

What color is your car... a factory color or custom?

Orange is NOT Cal Look... you're right. When I read the Rule Book in '79, I threw caution to the wind and decided to live on the edge by painting my '66 that color. Here's a shot that my best friend (Lounge user-name: Topnotch) took of me driving back from Bug-In 31. The event told me to take my car home because it wasn't Cal Look.

Yeah,  lowering, Empi wheels and European accents in Orange County, California and membership in one of the original California-Look Volkswagen car clubs.....definately wasn't California Look!!  Roll Eyes
