Der Kleiner Panzers put on their fourth Christmas toy drive at Nick's, this year, on the seventh day of the twelfth day of this year, 2008.

We arrived at said location at 1500hrs. (that's 3:00pm for you conventional clock-watchers).

Shortly thereafter, more showed up.

Then, we were told to park across the street so we could assemble more cars/people.

Carlos' car seemed to have more toys more than the rest of us that brought one or two. Hmm.

As time marched forward, the parking lot was getting full of VWs ready to cruise.

I couldn't help but notice the amount of toys in the back seat... especially since I was parked next to Carlos. Hmm. Rather suspicious. Oh, well... probably nothing.

Looked up at this lamp post and saw this individual trying to blend in with the ambient scenery.

As luck would have it, Mother Nature cooperated with us and decided to stave off the threat of rain, thankfully.

At 1600hrs. we pulled out of the parking lot and proceeded on the 20ish mile drive throughout Orange County. Just before that, Dyno Don proclaimed that it was time to go. And so it was.

Out on the road, seeing this brought back floods of great memories from the '70s & '80s. Good to see Randy's car being enjoyed on the road as it rightfully should be.

We pulled over to keep the rather large group together.

The view... from road paint's vantage point.

After a fun cruise, we ended up back at Nick's.

Mr. Mason doesn't mess around when it comes time for him to depart the scene. He'll even resort to moving Schwimmer's car, if need be.

In keeping with the theme of it all... Susy & Mike Herbert made sure that the Ghia was festive.

The purpose and main mission... to make sure that we all brought plenty of toys, so we could give them to the Fullerton Police Department.

But something didn't add up. There allegedly were a few toys missing, and after a quick search, they were recovered from Carlos' car and he was severely dealt with from the long arm of the law.

Which... turned out to be not the case at all. In fact, after a few people pitched in and helped load up the Police van, it was packed to the gills with wall-to-wall toys. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Sorry for the misunderstanding, Carlos.  Grin

All in all, a great event for an even better cause. Thank you, D.K.P. for being a class act (as always) and thanks to the Fullerton P.D. and everyone that showed up and donated toys. May you all enjoy your Holiday Season.

Oooh, um... that's a rather probing question, as it were.

Mr. De Alba, did everything come out okay?

HAHAHA!!! That's harsh.

Thanks, Sarge... I wanted more caravan shots, but they didn't turn out well, due to the lack of light. Oh well. At least it was well documented with all of the cameras present.

That's newest club member, Dustin's car. Very cool guy and car. Sounds very mean: 2 liter with 42 Webers.

Thanks for the info Jim  Wink
That's fun to see that people have the same idea quite at the same moment in different parts of the world  Smiley And it should be a very fun car to drive with a such engine. Very old school combo! I "only" run a 1835 in mine but it gives me lot's of fun Wink

I knew of a few motors that were "only" 1835's, and they went just fine....  12 sec motors in fact!  Shocked
Let's hope Dustin joins us here for some madcap laughs.

Have fun,

I hope go with mine on a racetrack in 2009 and see what will happen.

Fabulous, Keith! Are you finally opening your mind to the fantastic possibilities of a 3-way?

Just kidding.

Thanks for the kind words, y'all. That was one fun night and a worthy cause, for sure.
