Harry, your CDs went out last Friday. I threw in a extra copy of the DVD Dead Ahead. It's a great live concert form Halloween 1980 at Radio City Music Hall.
Same thing here, posted your CD's last week. Thanks for the DVD. Gonna burn some more (modern) stuff for you. How was the wkend with Jim ?

How is that new Plant/Krauss disc?  Unlikely pair—I'm interested to hear how it works?

I may be the only fan of real country western here, but f.y.i. Porter Wagoner passed away Sunday night at 80 years old.  He had just been diagnosed with lung cancer.  I had just gotten to see him at the Grand Old Opry this past April, and glad I did.  One of my favorites.

I dig it. Real mellow, but that is expected of Alison Krauss. My favorite so far is Through The Morning, Through The Night and Trampled Rose.

Even though country music gags me, I really love this album. Plant and Krauss really work well together. I hope they produce more music together!

I don't really like C&W either but I absolutely love Alison Krauss. She has the voice of an angel. I saw her last year at The Britt Theatre and it was one of the best performances I have ever seen.

Those 4 are spot-on for me as well.  I'm a sucker for some honky-tonkin'.

Watched a John Mayall "Austin City Limits" concert last night.  It was recorded in 1993 but just released on DVD this year.  Coco Montoya was on guitar...this guy is unbelievable if you've never seen or heard him play and Mayall himself was outstanding.  At one point he's playing the T-3 Korg (keyboard) with one hand and blowing the harmonica as well as singing and girating around to boot...all at the same time!  Well worth the $15 for the disc.  Cool Cool Cool
