It  1 3/4 inch, I was advised it would be the correct size, for the size and type of turbo I'm using

Hi no not by Pauter they do 1.81" or 2" indeed to be a bit smaller than 1.8 as holsets as you know work on pulse rather than heat and flow. Should be able to take up the small difference when I tig up the inside of the flange

Ok,

if you are happy with that then go for it Smiley

It just seems small to me on an engine that size, but no one thinks my header on the old car would work, everyone has there own ideas and thats good because we learn that way Smiley

I would be asking the engine builder what to use, they should know better than any internet experts Shocked Wink Grin

Hi Martin

As an electrician I'm no expert in the area as far as I understand its the diesel holsets that use the pulse energy for low end torque I'm sure there are better informed people to explain how or why if if I'm talking shite but that what I've read

Hi Richie

I've just asked the question so lets see what comes back I don't want to waste my time building a header that's too small I do trust a 100% the person that told me to use this size but a second opinion can't hurt I guess

Cheers andy

bit the bullet to day and started back on the body worlk my least favorite part but it got to be done lol

cut the carpet grips off so the channels  can be smoothed and painted

then onto some holes that need welding up my way to do this is using some copper

placing behind the hole

and welding to the copper and the endge of the hole the copper acts as heat sink to take the heat away and also steel wont stick to it so you can just pull it away afterwards and the whole is know gone Smiley

redid the waste gate pipe i didnt like how the last one looked
