My wife had one of them for years (great little car on crappy pea gravel).
From experience if you leave it there I'm sure by the end of the weekend enough little plastic pieces will have fallen off to let you roll it away!  Cheesy

so this transmission thing has been driving me mad so I think this is it, I think it will still be on the power at 8200 rpm, and remember the tyre grows an inch @150 mph. Its a chicken and egg thing no data from the engine as I cant run it as I don't have a trans yet so this is best guess.

26" tyre
3.88 FD
change at 8k

Gear          RPM      MPH

1st 2.75       0        58
2nd 1.88    5500     85
3rd 1.44     6000    114
4th 1.05     6000    152
Maybe
5th 0.77     5900    207

engine should be on boost by 5500 rpm

maybe we have the formula?

Thanks for you help those who pmed me on this Smiley

Andy, Your car is getting heavier and heavier, you are going to need more power.

You a modern version of Isambard Kingdom Brunel and your car will still be here in 200 years time.

no idea really I read that rule of thumb you need twice the engine volume as a minimum and that's what I came up with to fit with the rest of the parts and exhaust etc, mounting the injectors high up to help cool the charge a bit more.
