just been on the UK NSRA forum and someone posted these pictures of a scary lookin VW dragster

the only thing thats been posted about it is this

Holy Moses! I'd forgotten about that car! I saw it run at Blackbushe back in the day. Looked scary then – looks even scarier now! Shocked

Good find! No idea what happened to it, or how it ran.

The bodywork is a bit "ungainly" and it looks like it has Pre-A Porsche 16X3.25 wheels on the rear.

With all the retro/repro gassers being built right now, when are we going to see a "newstalgia" vw dragster like that on the strip?

looks like a dog house fan and a pair of twin carbs sat way out back to me , but I understand that the organ pipes might make it look like its got another power plant under the coffin lid  Shocked

could you imagine hittin the wall at full fores with that hemi behind ya. wouldnt be a preety site. oh well ya only live once right. i always wanted a hemi sawing me in half in my last days. man they live dangerisly back then thats for sure. that guy deffenetly wins the biggest bean bag award. UD.

Wow... I've seen a 4-Cam in a road going Beetle before but never in an old Drag racer, Crazy - and probably way more hassel than it was worth?

The bike's Clive Wayes's "Drag Waye", ridden by Dave Le Coq. Saw it run at Blackbushe. Scary but ingenious!
