HELP !

I got a beam, I am not going to narrow and I am going to put avis style adjusters. I need to free up torsion pivet in center of beam , any ideas without cutting into beam and removeing center. If I remove center , Doe's anybody have a old junk beam that they can cut 4-5 inchs of tube out so I can replace centers on my beam with right ID and OD tube. Any thought and help would be appreciated. Thanks and its a link pin king pin beam.

My Friend Sil Modesti did this to mine when we were making mods to one of my beams.  He heat the center of the beam with a rosebud torch where the dimples are.  You have to be very careful not to over heat it.  Then he drove the center piece off to one side.  This basically removed the dimples then he was able to make the mods and drive the center back into place.

I thought about that, Just wondering did they flatten out fairly ez.

Donny did you guys hammer something down center afterward to get tube round so center peice would spin freely inside beam ?

It's a slow process, he just drove the center back and forth after getting the tube very hot.  If you go to fast you can ruin the center piece on the edges.  Just don't try to make too much progress too fast.  When he was done he was able to recenter it and it was free to move.  The reason we did this was to install Avis adjusters.  Afterward he slotted the original hole and welded on the adjuster and we were good to go.

I put the same adjusters in i heated up the beam with rosebud also but i put a square bar in side a twisted slowly tapping the high back down. keep twisting it till it cools down.
